Torsday 1st Nauvambor
After some scribing and resting, all done in the safety of a rope-trick, the Swords decided to scry around and see if they could (once again) locate their items. After they did, Torn opened an arcane gate to allow everyone for swift access.
They arrived right in the middle of the evil demi-lich's private chambers. Faced with an ancient demi-lich, two scores of ghosts and a few wraiths, it proved an epic battle, even if some did manage to find their weapon during the combat.
Poor Carric got his soul sucked out, so he died. Again.. Truxas and Tragron were down and counting, but Torn and Gnoguh managed to finish the demi-lich off.
After collecting their items and the treasure - including half of the ritual, they returned asap to the Church of Kord in Drahar, in order to get Carric raised (50.000 gp!) and back on his feet.
Also, since both Targron and Gnoguh were now women, that had to be handled as well.
Freeday 16th Nauvambor
After chilling for a couple of weeks to take care of their holdings, families, churches and whatnot, the Swords decided to take a look at the ritual and figure out what to do next.
Logic and knowledge (and a few rituals) led them to the Feywild after a quick stop in the library of Sigil. Visiting the Summer Court (Alas for Truxas the Queen was away) and talking to Silverleaf, the chief advisor and main sage of the eladrins, they learned that Luna has a huge cathedral in the Feywild, namely in the Summer Forest, about 10 days of travel to the north-east.
(The sigil code for the Summer Court's guest entrance was acquired)
Borrowing some griffons from the eladrins, the Swords flew north-east and soon (10 days later), the Swords found themselves infront of the Cathedral of Luna.
As it turned out, the Lunaites were not ready to give up the ritual for nothing. Talking to Emanar Goldthorn, High Priest of Luna, it soon became clear that he wanted to help, but was bound by ritual laws that forbade it.
Only the Oracle (whoever that was) could give access (or even talk about the ritual) and only so to members of the church.
However, donating three secrets or items of power would make you an honorary member of the church. The Oracle (via Emanar) decreed that if the Swords wanted to be members, they should vanquish the three dragons and bring their "hearts" to the church.
Three dragons, three planes, three hearts.
The heart of darkness in the Feydark (Underdark in the Feywild), the heart of fire in the mortal world and the black heart in the Shadowfell.
The Swords decided to grab the one in the Feywild first, since they were here already.
Torsday 6th Deecambor
Some research at the Summer Court's library and a Consult Oracle ritual revealed the following:
The heart of darkness delves in the deep corners of the Feydark.
Just outside and north of Xxxixixi, the ancient city of aboleths,
You may find the heart in the lair of Druxyaz, a cautious dragon of little reknown but great age.
He is residing in the abandoned lair of the beholders.
The sigil code to the ancient city of aboleths was found as well. It does however open up 200 ft under water.
