Erelhei-Cinlu is completely surrounded by 100' tall city walls. The walls and the gates to the city are patrolled by elite militia from the various houses.
The Council rules the city of Erelhei-Cinlu. The matron mothers of the 8 most powerful houses sit on the council.
The city is divided into districts:
The Braeryn [Bræ-ryn]
The slum of Erelhei-Cinlu. Only the poorest of poor live here, mostly non-drow, but also some disgraced and sick drow who somehow have avoided being sacrificed to the Queen.
The Cloim [K-løje:m]
Home of the commoners of Erelhei-Cinlu. Tradesfolk and their shops can be found here. House Xaniquos [Za-ni-kuos] rules from this part of town.
The Bazaar
A permanent bazaar, open at all times (almost), where you can buy just about anything, for the right price, of course. No permanent structures are allowed here. By orders of the council, all places of business must never appear in the same spot two days in a row, nor twice within the same month, so everything moves each morning. This is the only place in the city where non-drow-non-slaves are allowed to be.
Eastmyr [Ist-mir]
Many noble houses are located here, as well as the House of Lolth, where all drow priestesses are sent to be taught the word of the Queen. House Eilservs [Ejl-sørv] and House Zhiqnaq [Cik-nak] call this ward home.
Narlyn [Nar-lin]
Many noble houses are located here, as well as the Arm of Lolth, the warrior school were all noble male drows are sent for proper education. House Aleval [A-lé-val], House Despana [Dæ-spa-na] and House Vae [Va-æ] have their palaces here.
Quelzyn [Kæl-syn]
Many noble houses are located here, as well as the Magic of Lolth, the magic school that all spellcasters attend. House Godeep [Gå-diip] and House Shi'quos [Shi-kos] also have their palaces here.
