When you cast Destroy Arcane Plague, you do not only destroy the Source of the Plague (that you must have), but you also destroy any trace of it left in any creature affected. This means that anyone infected with the Arcane Plague when the ritual is cast, is instantly cured. The ritual sadly can not bring back those who have died from the Arcane Plague. Nor can the sacrifize be brought back through the normal means. It is speculated that nothing short of divine intervention by the Keeper can bring back the one who willingly sacrifizes himself.
