Session 3

Sonday 9th Apryyl, Year 1456
After the combat, the Godsends started to look at the portal and painting, and realized there was a relation between the runes on the map and the portal. Argii and Eric (human swordmage) managed to figure out how to configure the portal and activate it, thinking that it must lead to the place on the map, somewhere in the NW corner of the Darkwoods, around 450 miles from where they were. They managed to activate it, but didn't dare enter it.

Instead they opted to de-calibrate it and Argii forged the runes on the map, so that anyone trying to use that would configure the portal wrongly.

Then they left the temple, heading back to the burnt down village of Hommlet, in search for Vengus' brother Targis. At the village, Grum managed to find some old tracks, that could indicate that the priest had been taken north. They quickly lost the tracks, but continued north none the less.

Mansday 10th Apryyl, Year 1456
They encountered several groups of orcs during the day, and each time, the Godsends proved victorious, but forgot to take a prisoner and interrogate him - or as was also the case once - they took a prisoner and accidentally killed him, before he could spill the dark.

After the last encounter with the orcs, the Godsends found a new trail to follow (that of a lone orc), leading north.

Tirsday 11th Apryyl, Year 1456
They follow the tracks throughout the day, and by nightfall, they exited the Rumble Hills and arrived at the Golden Mountains. There, they could spot a small fortress up on a plateau. In the fortress, they found some orcs (suprise!) and a couple of hard-hitting Hilll Giants.

After the fight, they also found Vengus' brother Targis, who had been severely tortured. As it turns out, the orcs wanted to know about his work for Drahar, 35 years ago, when he was a young priest and was working on the rebuilding of the north wall and part of the sewers.

The Godsends also learned that the orcs had been asking questions about the mansion of one of the noble families, the Ragar family.

They decided to return to Drahar and talk with Vengus.

Lordday 15th Apryyl, Year 1456
Once arrived at Drahar, they took contact with Vengus and told him that they suspected that the orcs are looking for the portal in order to send an army through - and army that would attack Drahar. He promised to put them in contact with his superior, and see if maybe there wasn't a job in this for them.
