Session 2

Lordday 8th Apryyl, Year 1456
The Godsends [Rolen (Elf cleric), Grum (goliath barbarian), Grubko (dwarf fighter), Eric (human swordmage), Calos (tiefling psion) and Argii (gnome bard)] continued on after dealing with the magical constructs. Going down the next hallway, Rolen spotted a tripwire. The Godsends carefully avoided the trap, and entered the next room, where they were assailed by 7 ghouls and wights. The fight was long and hard, and afterwards, many of the heroes were dead tired and in need of a rest.

They decided to withdraw into the constructs room, and make camp there.

Sonday 9th Apryyl, Year 1456
The night went well, but in the morning, as they were moving on, a group of orcs and an ogre arrived and attacked them.

Once the green-skinned monsters were dispatched, our heroes moved on. After dealing with a magical trap that charmed Grum into attacking Eric, the Godsends finally found the portal chamber. Unfortunately, the portal was protected by a wide variety of skeletons and a evil flying skull that had to be dealt with first.

After dealing with the skeletons, the room was searched and treasure was found.

The portal was also given a short examination: It is round, like a giant-sized ring (11' diameter) built of stone-like material and inscribed with a different rune on all 4 sides of the ring. The ring is made up of stone-sections, or links, about 1 foot long. Which means that the whole circle is made up of 35 links, each with 4 symbols on it, one on each side.

All in all a total of 140 different magical(?) symbols and a mindboggling number of combinations. (About 1.2 sextillion combinations, or to be exact, 1.180.591.620.717.411.303.424 different combinations)

The walls behind the portal looks like part of a map..
