Session 17

Freeday 17th Awgost, Year 1456 (continued)
Mistress D'iha informed the Godsends that she wanted them to go to Outpost, a small smuggler haven, and buy some information from the leaders, Chakos (drow) and Vlaak.(githyanki). They know where Iquel, a rogue githyanki is hiding, and he has a gem Mistress D'iha wants.

Mansday 20th Awgost, Year 1456
Traveling to Outpost (about 100 inhabitants, mostly drows and duergars, but also a fair bit of githyanki and a few humans) proved fairly straight-forward, and the Godsends arrived 4 days later. They were greeted by drows with crossbows and the two leaders who met them in a small market square just inside the walls. The deal was quickly concluded, with no haggling attempted by either side.

The Godsends learn that Iquel is hiding in the cursed(?) city of Lorakel, an ancient drow ruin that suddenly became void of inhabitants about 3000 years ago.

With the ruins of Lorakel not that far away, the Godsends were heading out.

Torsday 23rd Awgost, Year 1456
The Godsends find and arrive at Lorakel, where they track down Iquel in a deserted Lolth church. There, they fight and kill Iquel during an earthquake, and find a blue gem almost identical to the gem they snagged from the Freth Matron Mother for Drazz. It seems the two gems might be cut from the same original gemstone. But the battle is not without a price. Poor Argii is brutalized by the githyanki and dies.

R.I.P Argii

Freeday 24th Awgost, Year 1456
Dealing with Drazz via the sending stone he had given them, they set up a meeting with the drow at the portal near Erelhei-Cinlu.
Meeting with Drazz, he tries to trick them and keep the blood. Insults are exchanged and suddenly a battle is on. His gray angel guardian joins the fight as well, while Drazz shows his true colors - he is a lich.

The battle is long and hard, but in the end, the Godsends prevail. The portal through which Drazz and the angel arrived is still open, but the Godsends are hurting and tired and dare not pass through. They remember all too well the golem guardians from the last time. They do however decide that a lich' tower full of ritual books, treasure and other fun stuff is just too good to pass up. Maybe they can make it their own.
