After resting the Godsends turned their noses towards the tower of Drazz the lich. Navigating back through the Underdark proved easy enough, with Rolen leading the Godsends around the King's Highway to avoid the blood oozes and troglodyte tracks they spotted. Sure, they got a bit lost, but none the less, they found their way.
Just before arriving at the tower, the Godsends stumbled over a minotaur fighting some troglodytes. The Godsends decided to help the minotaur and the trogs were quickly dispatched. During the fight, the Godsends were introduced to another person, a druid named Hwygar. (??). The minotaur, aptly named Muuh, was a lone mercenary heading to Erelhei-Cinlu, in search of work. The Godsends decided to hire him for 10% of all gold and gems found in the tower. The druid was not a mercenary. Instead he told a story of dreams and destiny, and said he was there to protect the Godsends. There was some obvious skepticism on what he said, but the Godsends allowed him to tag along, at least for now.
Arriving at the tower, Hwygar climbed easily up on the ledge and helped the Godsends up. Calos disabled the magical traps, and Muuh broke down the front door. Inside, they found things as they were the last time they visited. Quickly, they moved up the stairs, where they found a lot of small sleeping rooms, mostly unused for a long time, and a kitchen.
Moving further up, they found a scrying room and a summoning room. Unfortunately they also stumbled over the lich' apprentice and a couple of flesh goblems. After the fight, moving further up, the Godsends found what must be the lich' chambers, a huge room with a throne, bookshelves, a portal, and many other things. As they entered, they heard a voice:
I am so glad you have come here. I knew it, of course, that your greed would get the better of you. Seriously? Stealing my books, my spells? Did you really think you could pull that off? You might have surprised me during our last fight, but that won't happen again, I can assure you of that.
