Creating a new character

If you need to create a character for this campaign, the following races and classes are available:

Dragonborn
Dwarf
Eladrin
Elf
Half-Elf
Halfling
Human
Tiefling

Gnome (PHB2)
Half-Orc (PHB2)

If you choose a PHB race, you can either be one of the refugees from Ghalton (as in, those who came through the portal), or you can be a native Draegorian. If you choose one of the PHB2 races, you are automatically a native Draegorian.

As the campaign progresses, there will be more races and classes added to the list.

Cleric
Fighter
Paladin
Ranger
Rogue
Warlock
Warlord
Wizard

Swordmage (Forgotten Realms Player's Guide)

Avenger (PHB2)
Barbarian (PHB2)
Bard (PHB2)
Druid (PHB2)
Invoker (PHB2)
Shaman (PHB2)
Sorcerer (PHB2)
Warden (PHB2)

If your character is one of the Primal classes (Barbarian, Druid, Shaman, Warden), he is also immediately a native Draegorian.

Below is a very quick overview of the "new" classes, for those who do not listen nor buy the book:

Swordmage: Arcane Defender, sort of a fighter/wizard. Kinda.

Avenger: Divine Striker. Religious assassin/bountyhunter/clean-up guy. The holy warrior that is fun to play.

Barbarian: Primal Striker. Rage. Big weapons, takes and gives out lots of damage.

Bard: Arcane Leader. Heals, magic, able to fight, free multiclassing.

Druid: Primal Controller. Wildshape and spellcasting. Able to control in melee as well.

Invoker: Divine Controller. Feels a bit like a divine wizard.

Shaman: Primal Leader. Can heal, has a spirit animal he can summon and a lot of his powers work through that spirit.

Sorcerer: Arcane Strike. Raw damage! Wild Magic! Dragon Magic.

Warden: Primal Defender. Infused with primal spirits, dailies are polymorphs. Very sticky.
